Can we appreciate the value of a product?

Do we ever wonder how much work was put into creating a usable product? How long has it been between the first sketch and the final design which was produced and then landed in our hands? How many people were involved in the production process?

We want to reveal something that cannot be seen when we look at a beautiful cup, a delicate shelf, or a designer seat. Problems, barriers, failures, limited budgets, people, their worries and their sleepless nights. A storm that preceded the realization of the idea.

Will you appraise the product differently once you know the “storm” which created it?

When you think about this “storm” will you see a different value of the product they created?

Speaker:

  • LUMANN is a shop and a gallery in Gdańsk with the idea of introducing and familiarizing visitors with Polish designs. It is primarily a place where you can sit and where you can touch both the icons of Polish design as well as products less known, but equally interesting. LUMANN works with the most recognizable Polish brands like Tabanda, Zieta Prozessdesign, Vzór and Modus Design, but it also showcases works of new talents. Everything so that Polish design can find a way into your hearts and homes for good!
